ABOUT ENCLAVE RISING
Enclave Rising® and the Enclave Rising® Foundation
Enclave Rising, LLC, formed in 2005 by social entrepreneur Kim Slicklein, is an international portfolio of companies rooted in environmental and social consciousness, each dedicated to pioneering best practices in net zero carbon development, alternative energy, conservation, and genuine sustainability. Pioneers in carbon monitoring, Enclave Rising is establishing the gold standard for sustainable development that will have profound social and economic impacts across the world.
Enclave Rising is setting new standards in corporate social responsibility, through the activities of the Enclave Rising Foundation, a private operating foundation with 501(c)3 status. Led and directed by social entrepreneur Kim Slicklein, along with some of the world’s leading experts in sustainable tourism and economic development, the mission of the foundation is to be a catalyst for positive social and environmental change in the communities where Enclave Rising builds.
The Foundation runs tailor-made programs focused on area-specific education, conservation, alternative energy, genuine sustainability, and public-private partnerships. By doing so, it fosters collaborative partnerships with all key stakeholders in each of Enclave Rising’s areas of operation.
In 2007, the Enclave Rising Foundation created an educational component, The Ethosphere Instituteâ„¢, which is an LLC organized and operated exclusively to carry out charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes, for the Enclave Rising Foundation. The Ethosphere Institute was created to perform research in the field of sustainable development and design, and to implement educational and environmental programs for economically underprivileged communities. The Ethosphere Institute is limited to only the activities that can be conducted under the charitable limitations of a 501(c)3.
The Enclave Rising Foundation and The Ethosphere Institute are testament to Enclave Rising’s commitment to genuine sustainability. At Enclave Rising, we think globally, but act locally, and by doing so, we believe that we can help effect change toward a more sustainable future.
ABOUT LEIF
Leaders of the Ethosphere Instituteâ„¢ Forum (LEIF)
Leaders of the Ethosphere Institute Forum (LEIF), sponsored by Enclave Rising, the Enclave Rising Foundation, and The Ethosphere Institute, is a sustainability advocacy initiative comprised of thought-leaders across multiple disciplines in both the public and private sectors.
LEIF’s mission is to generate awareness about the importance of a sustainable future by assembling select members from the sustainable business community. In addition, LEIF aims to support sustainable development, hospitality, tourism, education, housing, and infrastructure initiatives while promoting sustainable best practices within multiple industries on an international scale. LEIF will convene professionals and thought-leaders from a multitude of backgrounds, industries, and interests to create a universal definition of sustainability and to define the parameters of genuine sustainability.
Distinct from traditional conferences, LEIF will convene approximately 100 top thought leaders and industry-wide experts to create a Think Tank. The LEIF Think Tank will establish and shape a collective vision and action plan for a sustainable future. The LEIF Think Tank will be followed by a conference open to a wider range of industry professionals. The three-day event will include the following:
LEIF Think Tank – Day 1 (all day) & Day 2 (through lunch): INVITATION ONLY
- Keynotes from world-renowned sustainability specialists and thought-leaders
- Solution-driven breakout groups and ideation sessions moderated by Marc Gunther of Fortune Magazine
- The development of action items to deliver on a more sustainable future
- Nomination for Ethosphere Institute Board of Directors
- Networking with industry thought leaders and a highly-targeted group
At the end of the Think Tank, work groups will be established to sustain progress and maintain momentum within each discipline. LEIF members may elect to participate within work groups.
Together, the members of LEIF will help create the road map and metrics by which companies, organizations, government entities, and individuals can measure success. The LEIF will help establish specific legislation concerning sustainable communities, sustainable tourism, sustainable development, and sustainable housing policies, programs, and incentives.
